The Landings at Spirit Golf Club Big collars, challenging native grasses, and double greens are features of this links-inspired course. The Landings at Spirit Golf Club does not have the water hazards of other courses, but the doglegs provide enough challenges of their own. The course offers five tee options, with the front tees ideal for juniors and beginners, while the back tees will challenge even the most skilled players. The greens, however, are a challenge for all. 5. Pevely Golf Club Considered one of the most picturesque courses in the St Louis area, the Pevely Golf Club is located in the Meramec River Valley. With water, rolling hills, and woods all coming into play, this course is not a course for beginners. It is ideally suited for the experienced golfer.  Several tricky shots are required if golfers are to make the doglegs and reach the nestled greens.
