Big Beautiful Bill – Schicker Ford St. Louis

Big Savings. Big Benefits. Big Beautiful Bill.

What the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” Means for Ford Buyers at Schicker Ford St. Louis

Effective July 4, 2025, the federal government rolled out a major win for drivers—and it’s packed with savings. The new One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) introduces a federal auto loan interest tax deduction that puts more money back into the pockets of qualifying drivers when they finance a new Ford vehicle.

The Auto Loan Interest Deduction: What You Need to Know

Starting in 2025, you may be eligible to deduct up to $10,000 annually in interest on your auto loan when you purchase a qualifying new personal-use vehicle.

Who Qualifies?

To take advantage of this deduction:

  • Your loan must be originated between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028

  • The vehicle must be brand new (used vehicles do not qualify)

  • The vehicle must be for personal use only

  • The loan must be secured by a first lien on the vehicle

  • Your income must fall below $100,000 (or $200,000 if filing jointly) for full eligibility
Consult a tax professional for individual eligibility.

What Vehicles Qualify?

Ford is proud to lead the charge in U.S. auto manufacturing. Thanks to the “Ford For America” initiative, many Ford and Lincoln models qualify for this new federal deduction.

Vehicle Requirements:

  • Must undergo final assembly in the United States

  • Must have a GVWR under 14,000 lbs

  • Look for VINs starting with 1, 4, or 5 for U.S. assembly
