2021 Ford F-150

The XL starts the F-150 lineup with 17-inch steel wheels and automatic headlights. The XLT adds fog lights, a power locking tailgate, chrome bumpers, and power-adjustable mirrors. Step up to the Lariat for 18-inch alloy wheels, a chrome two-bar grille with black trim, heated side mirrors, LED bed lighting, and a Class IV trailer hitch. You'll get into luxury territory with the King Ranch, which has LED headlights and taillights and two-tone paint, while the Platinum adds 20-inch alloy wheels and power-deployable running boards. The top of the line F-150 Limited has 22-inch polished alloy wheels, a twin-panel moonroof, and a power up-and-down tailgate with a tailgate step. The new Tremor package adds 33-inch all-terrain tires, an off-road suspension, and front recovery hooks.

The many engine choices will help you get the power you need. The lineup of engines for the 2021 F-150 starts with a 3.3-liter V-6 that puts out 290 horsepower. From there, you can boost power by opting for the available 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost with 325 horsepower or the 5.0-liter V-8 that generates 400 horsepower. You can also get a 250-horsepower turbodiesel with 440 pound-feet of torque or a 3.5-liter turbo V-6 gas engine with 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The new hybrid delivers 430 horsepower and 570 pound-feet of torque.

Depending on the engine and configuration, the F-150 can tow up to 14,000 pounds. The hybrid powertrain can tow up to 12,700 pounds, and if you have the 5.0-liter V-8, it can tow up to 13,000 pounds.

Inside, the 2021 F-150 has upgraded materials, some new color options, and a newly designed center stack where you'll find the 8-inch touch screen or the available 12-inch touch screen. Ford's latest generation SYNC 4 also comes standard. Some new features in the cabin include the Interior Work Surface option. This feature allows you to create a flat working area over the center console by folding down the shift knob. The F-150 also has a new Max Recline seat that will fold down nearly flat if you want.

Every 2021 F-150 comes standard with several active driver-assist features, including a forward-collision warning system, automatic dynamic braking, pedestrian detection, hill start assist, a rearview camera with dynamic hitch assist, and lane departure warning. The XLT adds a blind-spot monitor, rear automatic braking, and lane-keep assist. Adaptive cruise control comes with the King Ranch and above, and these trim also have evasive steering assist. The Limited adds a 360-degree surround-view camera and the Active Drive Assist kit. This adds the hardware for Ford's automated driving system that will be available later in the model year.
