The Rear View Camera is a helpful safety feature available on Ford trucks and SUVs at Schicker Ford in St. Louis. It provides drivers with a clear view of the area directly behind the vehicle when the vehicle is in Reverse (R). • Display on Center-Stack Touchscreen or Rearview Mirror: The Rear View Camera displays a live video image of the space behind the vehicle on either the center-stack touchscreen or the rearview mirror, depending on the vehicle's configuration.
• Guidelines for Better Maneuvering: The Rear View Camera offers three types of guidelines to aid drivers while maneuvering in Reverse (R):
  • a. Active Guidelines: Show the intended path of the vehicle when reversing, helping drivers predict where the vehicle will go.
  • b. Fixed Guidelines: Show the actual path the vehicle is moving while reversing in a straight line, helping drivers maintain a steady trajectory.
  • c. Centerline: Helps align the center of the vehicle with an object, such as a trailer, providing additional assistance during alignment tasks.
• Trajectory Lines: The camera uses green, yellow, and red trajectory lines to indicate the proximity of objects to the rear of the vehicle while reversing. Objects in the red zone are closest to the vehicle, while objects in the green zone are farther away. The lines change as objects move closer to the vehicle, providing real-time feedback to the driver.
• Washer Function (if equipped): The Rear View Camera may come with a washer function that helps keep the camera lens clean and free of dirt and debris. The washer automatically operates when the rear wiper washer feature is engaged, ensuring a clear view through the camera.
