Located a little over five hours away from downtown St. Louis, the city of Bentonville is one of the most charming cities in northwestern Arkansas. Known for being the birthplace of Walmart, it has a population of just over 35,000 and attracts visitors from all over the region. If you want to check out some historical buildings and try out some of the local gastronomy, the Bentonville Third Street Historic District is the place to be.

Another excellent place you should definitely check out while in Bentonville is the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, which can be reached on foot from the city center through a designated pedestrian trail flanked by trees and going through the northern outskirts of the city. 3. Table Rock State Park, MO

Spanning a territory of almost 400 acres, the Table Rock State Park is located close to the Arkansas state line, in the southern end of Missouri. This beautiful natural escape provides visitors with areas for a wide range of different outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, boating, canoeing, and fishing on Carrick Creek. Getting here from St. Louis takes about 4 hours by car, driving north along Interstate 44 E.
