Ford Fusion vs Toyota Camry

• Fusion trims range from S, SE, and well-appointed Titanium to the high-performance Sport and luxurious Platinum. Camry features base L and LE trims, XLE at its midrange, and SE and XSE at the top of the line, with V6-equipped XLE and XSE options in the mix.
• Ford offers a 173-horsepower, 2.5-liter Duratec® engine in the Focus base, capable of 174 pound-feet of torque. Toyota's sedan builds in a 203-horsepower, 2.5-liter putting out 184 pound-feet.
• The new Focus Sport comes standard with the thrilling feel of a 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine, which charges ahead with 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of turning and pulling power. The new Camry features a 3.5-liter V6 at the top of its line, but it only reaches 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet.
• A six-speed automatic transmission with a rotary gearshift dial makes handling a breeze, with no lever to fumble for. Such a build isn't offered with Camry's eight-speed electronically controlled auto.
• Intelligent all-wheel drive is available, and even comes standard in Focus Sport. No AWD is available for Camry.
• A new Focus goes the distance thanks to an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 21 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined at base. Camry makes possible up to 29 mpg, 41 mpg, and 34 mpg respectively.
• You can expect fewer trips to the pump with Focus, whose 16.5-gallon fuel capacity rises to 18 gallons in AWD models. Camry's tank ranges only between 14.5 and 16 gallons.

• Safety features include an AdvanceTrac® system with electronic stability control, SOS Post-Crash Alert system, a Personal Safety System&#trade;, and an advanced airbag network. Toyota's Star Safety System is comparably equipped.
• Available driver-assist features include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, a Lane-Keeping System, a BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System), Cross-Traffic Alert, Enhanced Active Park Assist, and a standard rearview camera. In Camry, you'll find a similarly equipped Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) system.
• Focus sprawls with 102.8 cubic feet of passenger volume, and it's home to both comfortable cloth, durable vinyl, and leather-trimmed seating options and an available power moonroof. Camry's interior measures only 100.4 cubic feet, and its fabric, SofTex, and leather seating options don't include a high-durability variant.
• The car's 16-cubic-foot trunk makes plenty of room for work equipment or weekend-getaway luggage. Camry's trunk measures only 14.1 to 15.1 cubic feet, depending on trim.
• Base models feature cutting-edge SYNC® infotainment with enhanced voice recognition, and a touch-screen SYNC 3 variant is available with SYNC Connect, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for smartphone interoperability. The latter also features AppLink, which seamlessly supports the crowd-sourced Waze navigation and traffic app. Camry's four Entune systems offer neither Apple nor Android tech and navigation is optional, requiring a package.
• FordPass app support offers access to a variety of remote functions. Ford Fusion vs Honda Accord

• A new Ford Fusion comes in base S, step-up SE, and expertly equipped Titanium trims, with hard-charging Sport and premium Platinum trims at the top of the line. A new Honda Accord comes in base LX and Sport, mid-level EX and EX-L, and top-tier Touring trims.
• Fusion S features a 173-horsepower, 2.5-liter Duratec® engine that delivers torque at 174 pound-feet, while Accord LX offers a turbocharged 192-horsepower I4 that puts out 192 pound-feet.
• Focus Sport incorporates a standard 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine, offering a powerful 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Accord's turbo in-line four-cylinder only reaches a less energetic 252 horsepower and 273 pound-feet.
• Ford builds in a six-speed automatic transmission with a rotary gear shift, making gear changes a matter of turning a dial. Accord makes available six-speed manual and continuously variable transmissions as well as a ten-speed auto with similar shift-by-wire tech, but the last is only offered in select trims, and only with the optional, higher-octane engine.
• Available intelligent all-wheel drive comes otherwise standard in Sport. It's not offered in Accord.
• Focus gets up to 21 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined in its base, according to EPA estimates. Accord can get up to 30 mpg, 38 mpg, and 33 mpg respectively with a CVT.
• The car's 16.5-gallon fuel capacity reaches up to 18 gallons in Focus models equipped with AWD. Accord's tank ranges from 12.8 to 14.8 gallons.

• Safety features range from an AdvanceTrac® system building in electronic stability control to an SOS Post-Crash Alert system, a Personal Safety System™, and a network of advanced airbags. Accord incorporates Vehicle Stability Assist with a Traction Control as well as similar passive safety equipment.
• Driver-assist options span the gamut from Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, a Pre-Collision Assist system with Pedestrian Detection, and a Lane-Keeping System to a BLIS (Blind Spot Information System), Cross-Traffic Alert, and Enhanced Active Park Assist. • Focus and Accord's both offer comparable trunks -- ours, at 16 cubic feet, and theirs, at 16.7.
• A new Focus offers tech at the industry forefront, with SYNC® infotainment and enhanced voice recognition in its base and an available touch-screen SYNC 3 system with SYNC Connect and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in higher trims for smartphone support. AppLink capability even seamlessly supports Waze navigation and traffic. Accord offers two touch-screen options, Apple and Android compatibility comes only at the midrange, and a Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System is only available at the top of the line.
• Focus is compatible with the FordPass app, with which you can manage numerous remote functions. Ford Fusion vs Hyundai Sonata

• S, SE, Titanium, Sport, and Platinum trims make up the Ford Focus lineup. Hyundai Sonata features one consisting of SE, Eco, SEL, Sport, Limited, and Limited 2.0T.
• The base-model 173-horsepower, 2.5-liter Duratec® engine in Focus puts out a sprightly 174 pound-feet of torque. Sonata is comparable, with a 185-horsepower, 2.4-liter engine in its base capable of 178 pound-feet.
• Choose a new Focus Sport, and you'll find a high-power 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine standard, shelling 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet. Sonata's 2.0-liter inline-four turbo, offered in its top trim, only reaches 245 horsepower and 260 pound-feet.
• Focus incorporates a six-speed auto transmission with an easy-to-use rotary gear shift dial that dispenses with a standard shift lever. Sonata features six- and eight-speed auto options, but you have to go with a Sonata Eco to get a similar seven-speed DCT.
• Otherwise-optional intelligent all-wheel drive comes standard in Focus Sport. It's not offered in Sonata.
• The Focus base model goes the extra mile with an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency of 21 mpg city, 32 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined. Sonata makes possible a respective 25 mpg, 36 mpg, and 29 mpg.
• The car's fuel capacity ranges from 16.5 gallons in FWD to 18 in AWD. Sonata can hold up to 18.5 gallons.

• Passive safety features include AdvanceTrac® with electronic stability control, an SOS Post-Crash Alert system, and a Personal Safety System&#trade;, and the car can deploy a network of advanced airbags when needed. Sonata's safety features range from a Vehicle Stability Management system and Electronic Stability Control to a Traction Control System and a comparable safety setup.
